Creating Volumetric Clouds

Gone are the days where all clouds are just flat images in the skybox! Volumetric (3D) clouds really add to the immersion when sky diving, or flying around in helicopters.

  1. Open your map or create a new one
  2. Go to Layer Settings and then click the New Layer button

  11. And there you have it. The cloud may be hard to see depending on the Time of Day settings, so consider layering them (just by cloning then and then moving each clone slightly): this will also generate a more realistic look.
